Create Beautiful Cards with SP Transfer Foils

Who doesn’t love shiny things? Have you ever wanted to create a stunning card using transfer foils? Well, I’m here to show you how! Ro Donner with you today to walk you through how to easily create a card with just a few simple steps. Let’s make this card!

I am using both selections of foil today: Holographic and Metallic. I used the Holographic for the background and the Metallic for the sentiment and circle element. I’ve showed you how to use the foils with glue before. Now I am going to show you how easy they are to use with laser printed backgrounds. You can use pre-designed laser prints, or if you have a laser printer, design your own.

To begin, I selected the bright green holographic foil and a laser-printed background. To apply the foil, simply place the foil (shiny side up) on top of the laser-printed cardstock. Run through a heat laminator (I just use a cheap-o one and it works just fine). Remove the foil and your laser image is now shiny and beautiful!

I repeated the same process for the sentiment and circle element using the green metallic foil. I grabbed my trusty SP Best Glue Ever (where would we be without this stuff!!!!) and attached all the elements to my card, INCLUDING the butterfly. I trust this glue to keep that very dimensional element firmly attached to my card.

So you see? It’s very easy to create an eye-catching card with just a few elements!

Here are the links to the foils and glue used in this project:

I hope you are inspired to give foiling a try. It’s super simple and gives you a super-impressive result.

Til next time,
Keepin’ it inky!
