How To Easily Decorate Home Decor with Cardmaking Supplies

Hey Everyone! It is Renee’ with Delaney Jane Cards back again today for another project with the ScraPerfect Products.

Last month, I started documenting myself creating the wooden letters for my daughter Adalaide’s name for her bedroom wall. I shared the letter D and I made glitter paste with the Best glue Ever™ and some loose glitter. I wanted to update you on the paste itself. Although it dried tacky at first, it dried completely in the next day or so. I think it was because I poured more glitter over the paste after I applied it. The adhesive is meant to stay tacky so if you want to make something similar, make sure you apply glitter to the top of the paste.

This month I am sharing the letter L. So far I have A  D  A and the next letter in line is L. I picked this letter L up from Amazon. I really liked how different it is from the other letters I have. And my goal is to have all the letters look different but coordinate.

This L came unfinished so I primed it with some seriously old white acrylic pant and let it dry. I dug out some drywall tape from my drawer of random things in my craft room. Do you have a random drawer? Confession, I have several. I just can’t keep all that random stuff organized.

I applied BGE to the back of the drywall tape. It is so old that it didn’t have any stick left.

I wanted to add some metallic details and I had this golden washi tape. It was also super old and didn’t have much stick to it. So I used BGE to make sure it was secured to the letter L. Even if it had been new, I probably would have wanted to reinforce the stick with some BGE since washi tape isn’t meant to be permanent..

I had some chipboard leaves I wanted to add. And although they weren’t old, the sticky backer peeled right off. Another reason to use the BGE to make sure these pieces didn’t fall off onto Adalaide’s bedroom floor when this is all hung on her wall.

This project is turning into one of those where I use up the older things in my craft space. These Prima flowers are from 2008. I still have a ton left so I’m sure you will see them in future letters to help tie things together. This BGE adheres these paper flowers to this painted letter really well. I am loving that I don’t need to pull out my hot glue gun for these projects. The items are staying really secure.

ScraPerfect has more than just BGE, they carry these tiny embellishments in two mixes. The one I have is the Tiny Taller Bottle of Embellies. Last I saw they were sold out but the Tiny Shorter Bottles of Embellies were still in stock. These are the tiny yellow flowers. They are like a flower shaped super tiny confetti.

I also adhered some flower shaped sequins from Pink and Main. These were really dimensional and stuck down nicely with just a dab of BGE.

To finish this L off I adhered a tiny blue chipboard heart amongst the flowers.

The two ScraPerfect products I used in today’s project are listed below.
