Janet from Try it – Like it – Create it with a Christmas Card.
It isn’t too early to start crafting for Christmas. ScraPerfect helped make this card so easy to make.
materials:
- white card stock
- Best Glue Ever
- No-Clog Writing Cap
- Images – HungryJpeg
- stamps – Simon Says Stamps
- ink pad – VersaMark, Distressed Ink
- The Perfect Crafting Pouch
- Embossing powder clear
- heat gun – HomeRight
- cosmetic brush
directions:
I am using images that I printed out from the Hungryjpeg on cardstock and then used a ScanNCut CM350 to cut them out. If you would like to see how this was done, you can visit this tutorial. [ScanNCut]
The cardstock is cut in half and then folded for a greeting card. I am working directly on the card front.
I haven’t been very familiar with the crafting pouch so I often forget to use it. I actually started to make this card without it and when the embossing powder started to stick where I didn’t want it, I started over. The Best Crafting Pouch made the embossing powder work so much better it really was noticeable.
I stamped snowflakes onto the card front with clear ink.
Then I applied embossing powder and heated the card.
Using Distressed Ink and a cosmetic brush, I blended it over the snowflakes. The ink doesn’t adhere to the embossing powder so the snowflakes show through.
Using the Best Glue Ever, I attached the sentiment and the mother deer to the front of the card.
To finished, I used foam tape to raise up the baby deer from the front of the card.
If you are interested in the magnetic board I am working on it is called the Staytion and comes with four magnets and a magnetic ruler.
