Hi there! Kim L. here today for ScraPerfect to share a mini junk journal page that I created. I made this page for a crafty friends challenge and it was to be done in our style. Here is the page that I created:
I used the Best Glue Ever for everything on this page! I adhered paper, embellishments, lace, and pearls by using it with the large No Clog Writing Cap. For paper, I used small dots and when using the embellishments and heavier items, I made glue dots and let them cure until clear
Since my page has tuck spots, I began by making all of the little pieces that will be tucked in, including a tag, small card, and stamped piece of pink vellum. Then I put down the paper using the Best Glue Ever and swiped with the Tattered Rose Distress Oxide pad and heat set it., I also secured the tuck spot to my page and then slipped the little paper pieces inside. To embellish the tuck spot, I added a piece of ephemera from my stash, a small doily with a pearl in the center, and a button. Lace ribbon from the Dollar Tree was added to the top and right side of my page with the
Best Glue Ever. Above the lace at the top of my page, I added some thread and a vintage button, and under that a gold heart charm. I used a medium sized glue dot made from the Best Glue Ever for the charm. On the left side, I added a lace collar piece that I tea dyed. I also put a tab above the lace piece with another vintage button I added some tiny pearls to my lace piece and ensured perfect placement by using Embellie Gellie. It is truly the best pick up tool!
To complete my page, I used the Best Glue Ever to add some pearls that will dangle from the bottom of my page. As a gift for the friend who will receive this, I also added a pair of coordinating tassel earrings to the bottom of my page. Now let’s take a closer look at some of the details on my junk journal page:
