Hello, WELCOME
to the ScraPerfect blog.
Michelle here today to share a very
quick & easy “repair” to a handmade decor piece,
that I had made years ago with toilet paper rolls.
Yes, toilet paper rolls.
I had a 12×9 frame that the glass had been
broken during a move, I saved the frame, and decided to
create a piece of wall art, to look somewhat metallic,
and used toilet paper rolls cut into 2 inch pieces, shaped,
designed & glued within the frame.
The other day while dusting for cobwebs, I swiped the frame
and tore off one of the paper roll pieces.
ScraPerfect‘s Best Glue Ever to the rescue!
I dolloped a line of small dots along the original glue line
and let it set about 5 minutes just to tack up a bit.
Once that had been done, I added the piece back to the original spot
holding it for just a few seconds.
While holding it in place, I had noticed a couple of other pieces that
were loose, so I gently pulled them away from their attached spots, and repeated the same above process.
While “working” on this art piece, I also freshened up the metallic finish using a Brass Patina Paste.
The entire “repair & refresh” only took about 20 minutes.
