Are you one of the many who have moved fully (or partially) to pocket page scrapbooking? Call it what you want — Project Life, Day in the Life, pocket page — it’s it good way to showcase multiple photos on one page. In my scrapbooks, I find myself using these pocket pages mixed with traditional layouts. Not only are they easy to use, but you can embellish them just as much as traditional layouts.
I love using my ScraPerfect products to help me embellish these pages. The Best Glue Ever is perfect not only for adhering items to photos and 3×4 cards, but also adhering embellishments to the outside of the page. On this page, I’ve use the Best Glue Ever to adhere metal embellishments directly to my photos and card, but also to glue the “31” stickers on the exterior of the pocket. Gluing stickers? Absolutely! Anything on the outside of the page protector is going to get handled, and is more likely to come undone — and how many times have you come across old layouts from ten years ago where the adhesive dried out and your embellishments have fallen off? Raise your hand with me! Adding a touch of the Best Glue Ever will prevent this from happening.
I also used part of a transparency to fill one of the pockets. This had a printed border around it, but it was a pattern I was never going to use. So, I decided to dress it up with a cobweb stamp. First, I treated the transparency with the Perfect Crafting Pouch before stamping. The best kind of ink for transparencies is Staz-on, and using it in combination with the Perfect Crafting Pouch gives you a crisper and faster dryer image (even here, with my ink pad starting to dry out).
So don’t be afraid to grab some page protectors and embellish!
