Hello ScraPerfect fans! Kim L. here today to share a quick and easy altered trading block I created with some of the amazing ScraPerfect products. Here is my project:
I begun this project by using the Best Glue Ever to adhere cardboard pieces together to make a block. Then I used it to attach the sewing themed paper to the block pieces. I waited about 15 minutes for the Best Glue Ever to cure before I started embellishing my block. Here is a close up of how I decorated the top of my altered trading block:
As you can seem I also used the Best Glue Ever to make glue dots that I used to adhere a wooden spool and some bobbins. I glued strips of paper on them to make them more decorative. I also glued down some buttons, by placing them gingerly with Embellie Gellie for perfect placement every time! I used the Embellie Gellie to place some flatback pearls as well. I used more glue dots made from the amazing Best Glue Ever to adhere a mini doily to the top of the block.
To cover the seams of where the cardboard pieces were joined, I used the Best Glue Ever to glue down the cutest ribbon that looks like a tape measure to fit the sewing theme. I used foam tape on the corset to make it pop off the front of the block and give it dimension. More buttons and flatback pearls were added throughout as embellishment.
I hope you like my sewing themed altered trading block. This would make a great gift for any seamstress! This could easily be turned into a pin cushion on the top too for more functionality.
