Evenin All
It’s Glen here with a new project that actually started months ago. I took a 12 x 12 plain wood square and painted it white and when it was dry put a sheet from the Secret Garden collection inside using the Best Glue Ever and put it aside. Then I got an idea to make it two dimensional by adding a second layer at the bottom.
Then using some cut pieces of bass wood I used little dots of BGE to adhere the pieces and create a kind of pocket that could be used to put seed packets or coupons in for the garden center. When they were dry I added my fussy cut second layer to the bottom and got busy with Tim Holtz Distress Markers to add details.
Then again using a small amount of the Best Glue Ever I added some chipboard elements to the top and bottom and also using the Best Cleaner Ever took the paper off the back of a K&Company key to add to the front of the project.
Then I got the idea to add lace to the back but seeing that it was very porous I decided to use double sided tape instead of BGE. But that was not good enough, I found it came off easily. So I re-applied it and then ran a bead of the BGE to the edge of the ribbon and worked it in with my finger to add the strength it needed to stay in place.
So here is the finished piece on the wall and I think it’s very nice for a pick me up as this long winter drags on and on. Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to check out the other projects on this blog and the great products from ScraPerfect.
Cheers
Glen
