More from the same sketch.

I hear that today is National Scrapbooking Day. Here’s another super fast layout from my vacation – a variation on the same sketch. Again this was layered cardstocks, some rub on borders and flowers, and a small collection of chipboard embellies. Don’t forget the souvenir pocket.

As usual Best Glue Ever handles every type and weight of material, while Perfect Crafting Pouch instantly dries my inked edges and stamps (I stamped the journal box and a design on my small tag).

Fun Tip 1: You can cut rub-ons before using them. My border rub-on was only about 7 inches long so I cut it in half and used the two pieces on either side of my next layer. It gives the illusion of a complete border.

Fun Tip 2: Don’t forget to mix and match your papers and embellies – the repetition of general shapes, related colors, text and calligraphic “pen and ink” style, creates unity even though the individual elements are from different kits, sets and manufacturers.

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!
