Here is a paper bag mini album that I have made about my childhood traveling in Asia and Europe in the 1960’s. It was a good chance to use all the ScraPerfect products and really gave the Best Glue Ever a workout.
The cardstock is mostly from Cosmo Cricket with a few Recollections and AC plain cardstock thrown in. I chose “Early Bird” because of the retro feel. The album is 4.75 x 3.5 inches, and is put together slightly differently so that there are some extra tabs and many pockets. I loved coming up with a new structure for the ever versatile paper bag.
I used Best Glue Ever exclusively for the whole project – for joining the bags, attaching the decorative papers, adhering the photos and all the embellishments and die cuts. In addition to paper and card, the different materials glued include fabric ribbons, metal charms and vellum, under which the tiny spots of glue are invisible!
I used the Perfect Crafting Pouch to treat the vellum before printing my
fun quotes, to instantly dry stamped images, and to dry up some places
where a tiny bit of tackiness from the glue peeped out from some of the
very small cricut cut images.
Of course the Embellie Gellie continued to be really helpful in placing the small embellishments and buttons. I also used the small pointy stick to push ribbon into folds.
Recycled element: I created the hang tag on the front from a surprisingly sturdy tag from a clothing purchase, covering it with some origami paper. The hanging charms are from Orient Express.
