Hello and welcome to “Magical March” with ScraPerfect! Shelly with you today sharing a card made with my favorite magical icon – a rainbow! Who doesn’t want to find that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?
This card was made use multiple & intricate dies – applying them to the card was a cinch thanks to Best Glue Ever and the No-Clog Writing Cap.
Let’s make it!
Supplies:
- Best Glue Ever
- No-Clog Writing Cap
- Embellie Gellie
- Card Base – White Cardstock – cut to 8-1/2″W x 5-1/2″H (scored and folded on wide side at 4-1/4″)
- Patterned Paper Mat (Sunny Studios Classic Sunburst 6×6 Pad) cut to 4″ Wide x 5-1/4″ High
- Scrap Cardstock in Rainbow Colors
- Stampin’ Up Rainbow Builder Die Set
- Lawn Fawn “Hello” Die
- White Sequins (I am using sequins from Close to my Heart)
Directions:
- Cut, score and fold your base
- Cut patterned paper mat – machine stitch or ink edges (optional!)
- Attach patterned paper mat to card base using Best Glue Ever – remember, a little goes a LONG WAY – use sparingly. And BGE will not wrinkle your paper or photos – set card base aside
- Using scraps of cardstock, die cut your rainbow, cloud, sun and sentiment pieces. Don’t forget your rainbow color order – ROY G BIV (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet – I elected to omit Indigo on my card!) I used primary colors for my rainbow – but using pastels or neons (or even shades of black, white and gray) would also look beautiful!
- Assemble die cuts on card – I always start from the top to create a point of reference for the rest of the design
- Best Glue Ever with the No Clog Writing Cap allows you to apply glue evenly and precisely to small, intricate items
Embellie Gellie allows you to pick up and place small (and large!) items on your projects – a MUST HAVE for sequins!
And you’re done! Crafting is easy with the right tools from ScraPerfect!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today – have a creative week!
