Janet from Try it – Like it – Create it with a tutorial for making a Hello Friend card.
It is always nice to get a card from a friend. Sadly the tradition of writing to acquaintances is something from the past. Just think how special your friend would feel to receive a card from you just to say hello.
Materials:
- inkjet printed patterned paper
- Rinea foiled paper
- Mini Maker Die Cutting Machine
- Spellbinders die
- black card stock
- the Best Glue Ever
- ScraPerfect’s No-Clog Writing Cap™
- Embelli Gelli
I cut Hello Friend out of Rinea Foiled Paper using my Mini Maker die cutting machine. Its small size makes it great for using on my table when making cards.
The card size is 4″ x 6″. I printed out a patterned design on my inkjet printer and then cut the card stock down to size. I cut a band from black card stock 4″ x 1″. In the image above I am using the Best Glue Ever to adhere it to the front of the card.
Using Embelli Gelli to help with the little pieces when gluing them down is a lifesaver! Can you imagine trying to hold onto that little dot with your fingers?
The finished card, ready for a special message to send to my friend.
If you would like the printable paper I used, it is a part of a paper pack available at the Try it – Like it – Create it store. Here’s the link: [paper pack]
