Obviously, Embellie Gellie is better:)
Embellie Gellie is stable in all temperatures, leaves no residue, works equally well on chunky items as on thin paper die cuts, and has minimal packaging which you can reuse to store little items such as razor blades or medicine.
The “pen dispenser”, sold by a die cutter company, is great for picking up paper die cuts, but isn’t well designed for other embellishments. The sticky filling reacts to changes in temperature (becoming stretchy in hot weather has difficulty picking up embellishments in cold weather) and leaves a film on swarovski crystals. Most people also find it difficult to dispense, and wasteful because when it gets wiggley on the tip they pull it off and throw it away, needing to dispense more (Then there’s the non-refillable plastic pen you toss in the trash when it’s empty.)
Some other tools have a VERY sticky or waxy tip to pick up embellishments. Often these are TOO sticky which makes transferring the embellishment a challenge. These also often leave a residue. In addition, they have a limited lifespan so that when the tackiness wears off, it no linger works..
