Amazing and Quick Way to Adhere Rice Paper

Hello everyone, Betsy here today with my first blog post for ScraPerfect!  It’s
exciting to be here working with a new team and even more exciting to be
working with ScraPerfect products!
I had this project in mind and didn’t know how I was going to attach the beautiful
coordinating rice paper elements.  I had my first bottle of The Best Glue Ever with a No-Clog
Writing Cap sitting on my studio table and I wanted to see what it could do.
I started with the left panel first.  Rice paper is almost as thin as tissue paper, but more fibrous.  A wet glue could have done damage to it very easily.  However,
knowing that The Best Glue Ever remains tacky when it’s dry steered me in the
right direction.
I had my strip of rice paper torn on one side and needed to first adhere the little checkerboard strip to the right side before adhering it to the card.  I ran a thin bead of The Best Glue Ever along the left hand side of the checkerboard strip and let it dry until it was clear.
Then I gently placed my rice paper strip along the edge.  It stuck really well!  I then applied The Best Glue Ever onto the card base and let it dry until it was clear and laid down the whole strip.
It adhered perfectly!  I also cut the bow on the bird’s neck out of rice paper and adhered it in the same way using The Best Glue Ever.  There was no buckling of the rice paper and it didn’t seep through the paper.
I also adhered the twine bow and the metal heart charm by just using a dab on each and that’s all it needed to be securely adhered.
On the middle panel I made a pocket with one of the card stock panels in the paper pack.  I run a very thin bead of The Best Glue Ever (easy to make thin lines with the No-Clog Writing Cap) along
the 2 sides and the bottom and left it to dry. it’s very secure and my tag slips easily in and out
of it without sticking.
I placed 3 small pieces of the rice paper on this panel.  Each laid down perfectly after I applied The Best Glue Ever and allowed to dry until it became clear.
The last panel had a few more challenges.  I had the larger square to adhered as well as a piece of crocheted lace and then a bit of layering with the rice paper.
The Best Glue Ever worked perfectly!  No buckling on this larger piece and I also adhered several more pieces of rice paper on the corner of this large piece and it laid down flatand dry!
I also had a short piece of crocheted lace.  I dabbed on the glue where the lace
was the thickest and laid it down on my card while the glue was still wet.  It has adhered so well I still can’t believe it!
I used The Best Glue Ever on all of the card stock pieces for this card as well.  Everything is
flat and nicely adhered!
