Michelle here today to share a recent art journal collage,
I created using ScraPerfect’s Best Glue Ever & Transfer Foils.
This art journal collage was actually sort of a “challenge”,
rendered by the talented Marta Lapkowska of Maremi Small Art.
Truth is, my art journaling is not a strong skill set for me,
so I decided to give it a go.
I started by coating the pages with clear gesso. While waiting for the
gesso to dry, I combed through a few magazines I had on hand, finding some beautiful fall florals and a lovely lady image, for my pages.
I decided placement of these images. After deciding placement of the images, I removed them and then spritzed a variety of fall colored
sprays over the pages. I then used matte gel to add patterned paper randomly to the pages, and then once again, spritzed with sprays. In addition I used a stencil & texture paste, and some micro beads to add texture.
To adhere the images and the pre-cut stamped and distressed inked detailed leaves, I used the Best Glue Ever. I decided I wanted “subtle” reflective color, so I used the Best Glue Ever randomly throughout the pages, letting it dry to a soft tack, and added ScraPerfect’s Transfer Foil in orange.
The Best Glue Ever is absolutely perfect for art journaling.
*I do want to note, that I had a few spots here & there of glue I missed with the foil,
so to remove the “tack” so my pages wouldn’t stick together, I used
ScraPerfect’s Perfect Cleaning Cloth over the missed area’s.
