How to REMOVE Herbal Tincture Stains with ScraPerfect’s Best Cleaner EVER!

Here is a nasty mess.

This is not a pretty post. Robyn Coburn here with a mess that needed cleaning up.

I reached up to the high cupboard and knocked over a jar of a herbal tincture – medicinal herbs macerating in alcohol. The lid came off and some of the tincture splashed on the kitchen wall. It turned out to be very staining. Think Henna, only green instead of brown.

Blech. I’m glad the jar didn’t smash but just splashed.

409 Surface cleaner, even applied immediately, did nothing visible. My husband suggested olive oil, that had no effect on the test spot. Then I remembered the Best Cleaner Ever.

Nothing seemed to help.

I sprayed it generously on the splatter, waited about 10 minutes, by which time I could see that the stain was dissolving, then wiped it away with a damp kitchen towel. I removed the BCE residue with the regular cleaner. Phew. I did NOT want to repaint my kitchen.

The pristine result:

A perfectly clean wall.
