Hello there!
Welcome to the ScraPerfect blog today.
Michelle here to share a quick & easy project
using Best Glue Ever & Transfer Foil from ScraPerfect,
to create a watercolor Boho inspired canvas panel.
What you need for this project:
Canvas Board
Stencils
Gelato’s/Gel Crayons
Watercolor Pencils
Charms
Jumprings
24 Gauge Wire
Felt
Scissors
Mini Round Nose Pliers
From ScraPerfect:
Best Glue Ever
No-Clog Writing Tip
Transfer Foil
Using a variety of feather designs, cut using my Cricut Explore Air 2,
I shaded the feather shapes, alternating colors, using my Faber Castell Gelato’s.
Wetting my finger, I blended the color of each feather, leaving it lighter in the center, and darker on the edges of each feather, leaving the stencil in place for each feather. For additional detail, I used watercolor pencils in coordinating color shades, to emphasize the edges of each feather.
Once I had completed the coloring of the feathers, I used Best Glue Ever, with a No-Clog Writing tip, and applied random stripes on the edges, and lines in the center of each feather.
I decided to let it set overnight, to form the tack that I needed to add the foil accent using Transfer Foil from ScraPerfect.
Once the tack had formed, I added coordinating colors of Transfer Foil, cut into 1-inch strips, to each feather, using only my thumb nail to
rub the Transfer Foil on.
For additional accent, I twisted wire around the four corners of the canvas board, and secured each with a dab of ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever.
I also cut a piece of felt into a 4×4 inch square, for the back of the 5×5 canvas board. I also added a charm dangle & a coiled word, “FLY” as finishing accents.
A delightfully colored canvas, with just a bit a foil flair.
A beautiful canvas to display on a shelf.
