Calling All Coffee Lovers

Hi crafters, Kim L. here today as a Guest DT to share a fun and easy way to wrap a gift for the coffee lover in your life,  The concept for this gift box can be applied to any theme you can imagine, and it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser.  I designed this box with a Starbucks theme since it is my favorite coffee. The only thing to keep in mind is that the gift has to fit inside the box.  Some ideas would be K cups, a bag of coffee, or a coffee mug. With the help of many of the amazing products from ScraPerfect,  here is what I created:

I started with a cardboard box and collected all of my coffee themed supplies from my stash.  I used the
Best Glue Ever (with the No Clog Writing Cap on it) to adhere a piece of coffee dyed paper to the inside bottom of the box to make it sturdy. As  you can see, you only need to use small dots of the Best Glue Ever, so a little goes a long way!
Next, I embossed some chipboard pieces from my stash with a heat tool and white embossing powder to help it stand out on the box. I swiped each piece first with the Perfect Crafting Pouch for it’s anti-static properties.

To further decorate the box,I used the Best Glue Ever to secure polka dot brown card stock from my stash.  I also used some coffee stirrers and cardboard sleeves that I had saved as embellishments.
Foam tape was secured to the coffee sleeve for dimension.  You can also see brown glitter card stock used throughout my project and well as brown ink that was applied with an edger.

I wanted to make the top of the box special, so I make a very big bow using everything brown I could find in my stash, including:  eyelash trim, gross grain ribbon, organdy ribbon, a crinkled coffee filter, a piece of brown leather and dew drops. To get the placement of the dew drops perfect, I used some Embellie Gellie for precision.   Also in my stash were some awesome Starbucks resin pieces that were perfect for this box!  The four tiny coffee cups served as the feet of my box, and the round piece on my bow on top. I am guilty of hoarding these and am so glad I did, they look great on this project!  I also placed a gold coffee cup charm on the top of one of the coffee stirrers using the Best Glue Ever.  Finally, scrabble tiles were added to spell out “java” after they were inked up and put on one side of the box.  As always, when I finish a project, I use a squirt of the Best Cleaner Ever on the Perfect Cleaning Cloth to clean up in a jiffy.   Take a look:

Thank you so much for stopping by today and checking out my coffee lovers embellished gift box!  I will be back again as a Guest DT since I use my ScraPerfect family of products all the time.  I look forward to seeing you then.

Happy Crafting,
Kim Lippincott
