It’s Renee’ with Delaney Jane Cards. Today I thought I’d add another letter to little Adalaide’s name for her wall. We are getting closer to the end of this series with the last letter A.
If you’ve been around a few months you know I’ve been sharing a letter each month to create a beautiful name sign for my newest daughter’s wall. This is Adalaide. She is almost 1 year old and we haven’t finished her nursery yet.
To start the project I had purchased this awesome letter A from my local Michael’s. I had them ship it so I didn’t have to go out to the store since we are practicing Safer At Home here in Wisconsin. I had this rolled rose die from MFT and decided to add just a little bit of embellishment to this letter.
I pulled out my favorite adhesive for dimensional projects Best Glue Ever by ScraPerfect. I love the fine tip applicator that I have on my bottle. It makes getting into the tight spaces really easy.
I pulled a bunch of scraps from my scrap basket and several flowers that coordinated with the previous letter I’ve decorated and just played around until I had the layout I wanted. The fine tip applicator allowed me to get down inside the rolled roses and make sure that all the bits and pieces were adhered really nicely.
After I had the flowers and a couple leaves in place I did use some Picket Fence Distress ink to ink the raw A just a little bit. I thought it would play nicer with the other letters.
Soon I’ll be ready to unveil the entire sign. And I’m so very excited for that!
Here you can see just how beautifully those flowers are layered onto the letter A. I enjoyed this project and cannot wait to see what inspires me about the next letter in our journey.
