Hello there crafty friends, Michelle here today to share with you my latest project using the amazing products of ScraPerfect, which made transforming this thrift store neglected and torn crown, into a FABULOUS Shabby Floral Crown.
I first cut off several of the metal “coils” that had broken and spiked out in various places on the crown. I then used white heavy gesso, and covered the inside and the outside of the crown, to dull down the brassy gold. Once dried, I randomly used a Rose Gold paint over the entire crown.

I chose a white floral lace to wrap around the base of the crown, followed by pink seam ribbon, using the Best Glue Ever for both applications. I also added a strip of off white flat back pearls predesigned on adhesive, rescecuring with the Best Glue Ever, over the top of the pink seam ribbon, for an added flair.
To create the crown front, I cut two 4-1/2 inch strips of white hem binding and used about 2-1/2 inches of the overlapped pink seam ribbon to make loop like bows, once again, adhereing with the Best Glue Ever.
Once the glue had set with the the ribbon, I used Best Glue Ever to attach a sequined appliqué, one large white rose, two beautiful pink crinkled flowers & a couple of other white flowers with green stamen centers to finish the front of the crown.
Have you ever been annoyed by trying to perfectly place your gem/bling strategically and still not get right on spot? Well then you haven’t tried ScraPerfect’s Embellie Gellie. Believe me, when it came to adding the various color and size flat back pearls to the remainder of this crown, the Embellie Gellie (along with Best Glue Ever) took out ALL the
frustration, and the results, perfection.
