Good morning ScraPerfect friends. Steph here today and to show you how The Best Glue Ever was the perfect adhesive to use in creating this card.
Supplies:
Scraperfect – The Best Glue Ever
Cardstock: Bazzill
Overlay: Hambly Studios
Stamps: Hero Arts, Marks Finest
Ink, Glitter, Reinkers, Art Wheel: Clearsnap
Pearls: The Robin’s Nest
Using assorted colors of reinkers, place drops of color onto the reverse side of the overlay. Since reinkers do not dry on overlays, we need to work on the reverse side. As the reinkers are very rich colors, a little drop is all you need of each color.
Because reinkers do not dry, this gives you lots of (messy) options. Using a baby wipe or your fingers, move the colors around in a random fashion, leaving little spots of the overlay un-inked. Mixing the colors creates other colors. If the colors start to turn too dark, use a baby wipe to remove some color.
Cut the overlay AND a piece of white cardstock into 5″ x 5″ panels. Squeeze The Best Glue Ever around the edges of the overlay, then rub it into the overlay with your fingers and watch it interact with the reinkers. The different color shades were created when the glue and ink reacted. Place the overlay on the white panel and use an art wheel to firmly adhere the 2 pieces together.
Emboss the panel with an embossing folder and then ink the embossed areas. I used Colorbox’s new Surfacez Ink. These inks are permanent on all surfaces, including this overlay. The panel was added to black cardstock before adding to the card.
For the flower, I first stamped the image, then added The Best Glue Ever , rubbing it into the flower, but leaving the center glue free. I poured on the glitter, then placed it aside to dry before tapping off the excess.
I then added The Best Glue Ever to the center of the flower and added clear glitter. Pearls were added to the center before the glue dried.
Create a 5 1/2″ x 11″ card from purple cardstock and score in half to create the card. Add the overlay panel to the center of the card. Stamp the sentiment on purple cardstock and mat with black cardstock before adding it across the panel. Once the flower was dry, it was added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.
Thanks for stopping by today.
