Fun With Fall Decor And ScraPerfect

Hello, Kim Lippincott back today to share another project created with the help of the products from
ScraPerfect.  Today I will be demonstrating how the Best Glue Ever is so versatile that it is the only adhesive needed to work with a variety of materials.  I made a home decor piece for Fall and hope you like it:

I started with an 8 x 10 canvas from the Dollar Tree and painted it with a blend of Fall colors, including: terra cotta, sage green, brown, and gold.   Next, using Mod Podge, I decoupaged a napkin of Fall foliage to various places on the canvas.  Now, I got out my bottle of the Best Glue Ever with the large No Clog Writing Cap on top for extra precision and less waste and got to work.  I applied dots of glue on the backs of some felt leaves and wooden pumpkin embellishments, also from the Dollar Tree.

The amount of the Best Glue Ever required is directly proportional to the size and weight of the material being secured to the base of the project. For larger items, let glue dots cure and turn clear before attaching to the base.  That is what I did with the felt leaves that I used on my canvas.  A metal sentiment that said Harvest from the Dollar Tree was painted gold.  I added spots of the Best Glue Ever to it on each letter and then added copper micro beads from the Tiny Bottles Of Embellishments for added texture.  On the felt leaves, I repeated the process using Copper distress glitter by Tim Holz.  I love that the Best Glue Ever was the only adhesive I needed and worked perfectly on metal, felt, ribbon, wood, and braided trim!

I used a large amount of the glitter over the glue as seen in the photo above, and waited for a few minutes before tapping off the excess.  Next I used the Best Glue Ever to secure the Harvest piece to my canvas.  Brown braided gimp trim was attached around all four edges of the canvas as well for a finished look.  To hang my canvas, I used the Best Glue Ever to attach a loop of the brown braided gimp trim.  I added bows made with brown and gold organza ribbon and brown eyelash trim for more decoration.  I am pleased with how it turned out and will hang it up in my home soon.  Here are some close up photo of the details of my altered Fall canvas:

Thanks so much for stooping by today, I will be back with more creations next month.  I hope you will get your supplies from ScraPerfect and follow them on social media while you there!
Until Next Time,
Kim Lippincott
