Hello everyone! Kim L. here today to share a project I made to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with some of the amazing products from ScraPerfect. At my house, we decorate for every holiday and we really enjoy it. I don’t have much for St. Patrick’s Day, so I decided to make some pieces. These are two tags that I created with materials from my stash. They will end up as hanging decorations or be displayed on mini easels. Here is what I made, I hope you like them:
I started out with 2 manila tags which I sprayed a vibrant green. Dark green alcohol ink splatters were added at this point and left to dry. I grabbed a vintage doily and place mat and secured them to my tags with the Best Glue Ever. Since they are heavier than paper, I placed medium sized glue dots on the tag and let them dry to clear before applying the linens. I used some ephemera of Victorian ladies that I found in my stash and added those next. Then green tickets were added, also with the Best Glue Ever,
I continued adding fun embellishments like some vintage sequin trim and a paper flower that I assembled and attached using the Best Glue Ever with the medium sized No Clog Writing Cap on top for precision. I loved that I could use the tiniest of lines of glue for the sequin trim and you couldn’t see the glue at all! I put some patterned paper flags at the bottom of one tag that I dressed up with some green adhesive bling, And for the center of my paper flower, I placed a single green sequin perfectly by using Embellie Gellie. I would have sticky fingers if I didn’t have this product at the ready.
To complete the other tag, I secured a handmade flower that I made with green satin using a large glue dot made with the Best Glue Ever. I also added stickles to my Victorian ladies for some sparkle. I attached some crocheted trim to the bottom of one tag and the top of the other as well. To complete my tags, I secured two vintage handmade green yoyos and a tassel to the top of one and green and white organza ribbon to the top of the other. I like how they turned out and could also envision a series of these tags as a banner to decorate for St. Patrick’s Day too! Here is a closer look at each tag I created:
