Homespun Harvest Blessings Card

Hi there, Kim Lippincott here today for ScraPerfect to share my latest Fall creation with you.
I am yearning for Fall and since I live in Florida, the temperatures won’t cooperate so I made this card with Fall in mind.  I have combined my new love of sewing and my love of paper crafting in this project and really hope you like.  This is my Homespun Harvest Blessings Card:

To create this card, I started by swiping brown ink around the edges of my card and a torn piece of coffee dyed paper.  Then, I attached the coffee dyed paper to the card using the Best Glue Ever.  I only needed tiny dots of glue and since I have the No Clog Writing Cap on the top of my bottle, I am guaranteed not to use more than I need.  A think piece of ivory netting was added next using the same method.
Next, I took my felt leaves and hand stitched around the edges for a more handmade look.  I used large glue dots made from the Best Glue Ever to secure these to my card.  An important tip when securing larger or heavier items, wait a few minutes for your glue dots to cure and turn clear before attaching the items to your base material.  I also used the Best Glue Ever to attach the buttons and wooden pumpkin to the corners of my card.
Using Fall fabric strips, I made a bow and used layers of the Best Glue Ever to attach these to each other. I set that aside to cure and then took a yo yo and added some textured ivory thread, then a glue dot, and placed a wooden pumpkin in the center.  Once that cured, I used a large glue dot made from the Best Glue Ever to secure them to each other and my card.  I also added the sentiment of “Blessings” that was stamped in brown on coffee dyed paper and mounted on foam dots for dimension. For a finishing touch, I added some pretty gold fringe trim to the bottom of my card to bring in more Fall colors.  I also used to heavy lines of the Best Glue Ever to add this because of the weight.
I hope you like my Homespun Harvest Blessings, here is a closer look at some of the details:
Thanks so much for stopping by today, please check back later in the month for my next post and be sure to follow ScraPerfect on social media.  In the meantime, happy Fall everyone!
Blessings,
