Hey Everyone…Lyne here with you today. I wanted to show you today how I use The Best Glue Ever to add dimension to my scrapbook layouts without having to purchase the expensive rolls of foam tape.
On my layouts I often like to pop my photo up on foam tape, but I’ll he honest…it gets expensive really quickly. My answer to that is kids craft foam and The Best Glue Ever. I bought the craft foam at Hobby Lobby. It was 50 sheets for about $3.50 with coupon. If you don’t have a Hobby Lobby I’ve heard Walmart carries the foam and I’m sure Michaels would as well.
The one thing about the craft foam though is that tape runner doesn’t stick and red line type tape is so adhesive that it warps the foam. This is where the best glue ever comes in…
Cut your foam to fit where you want to pop up.
Add The Best Glue Ever to the underside to stick it to your layers, and then add the adhesive on top to adhere it to your background.
This is more glue than you really need, but I didn’t have a No Clog Writing Cap on this bottle so it comes out thicker than needed.
So here is a photo to show how much dimension the foam adds.
You can see the foam color here, but that’s only because I wanted you to see the amount of lift your item gets with the foam. When viewing the layout in regular fashion you can’t see it at all.
Hope this gives you a new way to use your Best Glue Ever, and saves you some money by being able to get away from the expensive foam tape.
If you’d like to see the full layout I made while doing this tutorial I’d love for you to pop over to my blog and check it out. Until next time…stay crafty
