How to create a quick Christmas Layout

Hi crafty friends! Jeanne back this month to share with you how I created this quick layout in a short amount of time. With the holiday’s we all are in a crunch for time and if you are like me, you wish you had many more hours in the day yet you want to create as many Christmas projects as you can. Well this layout was a pretty quick project to create.

The paper collection that I used for this project is The Sweetest Christmas by Mintay. I had actually purchased this last year from Frank Garcia Studios. What I love about their papers is that you will find a few sheets of this paper to where you don’t need to add much to it to create a layout.

All I did was adhere this paper onto a 12×12 chipboard sheet, I cut a couple of the same pattern paper to use for my layered photo mat. I distressed the edges then adhered it to a couple pieces of scrap card board. I adhered it using ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever. I then adhered it where I wanted my photo mat to be . There was a great space on this pattern paper for this.

I then cut a piece of textured card stock and adhered that onto the layered pieces. I left this without a photo since I will be adding a photo of my 8 month old grand daughter on this layout. It will be her first Christmas so I’m excited for her to have this for years to come.

The last thing I did was cut the cute gingerbread house from the cut out sheet of this collection and adhered it to the corner , I also adhered a couple of leaves and flowers to it as well. I don’t like to waste paper so the strip I had cut off at the bottom before adhering to the chipboard, I trimmed the sentiment “The Sweetest Christmas” and adhered it to the top corner of the photo mat.

This layout as you can see was pretty quick to create. I love using papers such as these where you don’t need to add much to them. I had thought of possibly adding some Stickles to random spots but I might end up doing this after I have added my photo. If I happen to do that I will share my updated layout. If you have any of these similar sheets of paper that you weren’t quite sure what to do with them and they are too pretty to cut up, I hope you will think of doing something like this! They make beautiful layouts!

Well crafty friends, I hope you liked my project this week and I hope you and your family are keeping safe and have a wonderful holiday! I’ll be back after Christmas to share my next project with you which will be a tutorial! See ya all then!!

XOXO,

Jeanne
