sharing my latest project using the
fabulous & innovative products from
ScraPerfect.
I have created a Vintage Inspired Vignette,
and the star of the project, is the
Best Glue Ever. (BGE)
Through various aspects of this project, the BGE
was used on paper, wood & metal.
So much versatility.
I began by using the Perfect Crafting Pouch prior to
using gesso on all the wood elements,
including the vignette.
By doing so, it did speed up drying time,
allowing me to add the next layers
rather quickly, which were
acrylic paint in gray & patina.
On the watch piece, I used the patina paint,
followed by a copper metallic rub
to give an aged look.
I chose a postal pattern paper as
the background for the inside of the vignette.
I lightly used ink, to give a more aged look
to the paper.
Once dried, I used BGE
to adhere it inside the vignette.
Using the BGE, I added a floral pattern paper
to the inside of the watch,
followed by an ephemera butterfly.
I also used BGE as adhesive
for the orange/copper ScraPerfect Shaved Ice,
just for a little glitz.
I added various layers of ephemera and a
paper doily which is from The Robin’s Nest
to the background
before gluing the watch down.
For the top finial, and the post for the bottom,
as well as the front edges of the vignette,
I used BGE very, very lightly and “smudged” to add
ScraPerfect’s Transfer Foil in Copper,
burnishing it randomly, to add
to the distressed look.
To finish the vignette, I added a cute phrase, ribbon & flowers.
And ScraPerfect, made it all come together.
