How to Make Easy Wood Slice Ornaments (Great Kid Craft)

I am calling this a “Pinterest WIN!” Easy reindeer & Grinch Christmas ornaments that even the youngest of kids can make.

I am so thankful for family and friends (and in this case, my boss!) that let me craft with their kids – I always have so much fun!

For today’s post, we are focusing on the Reindeer Ornaments.  For a full step-by-step on the Grinch Heart ornaments, see my post here:  Grinch Heart Ornaments

Let’s get our supplies:

  • Best Glue Ever
  • Embellie Gellie
  • Wood Slice Ornaments (Birch Ornaments – Walnut Hollow)
  • Wood Clothes Pins
  • Googly Eyes (I found a HUGE multi size pack at the Dollar Store!)
  • Brown Paint
  • Brown / Metallic Glitter
  • Red Stickles

Let’s make it:

  • Start by painting one side of clothes pins brown – set aside to dry

Look at Miss Marvel wielding that Embellie Gellie with ease!

  • Next, Add a small amount of Best Glue Ever to painted surface of clothes pin, using your fingertip, spread across surface (this is where those latex gloves from Costco come in handy!)
  • Dip pin into glitter, set aside to dry

  • Use Red Stickles to create your reindeer nose
  • Attach your clothespin “antlers”

Thanks for stopping by the blog today  – – hope you are able to take some time this holiday season and do some kid crafting!

Have a creative week!
