How to Make Elegant, Quick & Easy Wedding Decor (Hand Sanitzer with Tags)

Hello and welcome!  Shelly with you today – sharing a project for ScraPerfect’s February theme – “Tag Along with ScrapPerfect”! This month we will share all kinds of tags for you to use in your crafting.

Today I am sharing a Wedding Decor tag from real life – – my niece was married in October in a beautiful backyard wedding after her original wedding plans were cancelled due to Covid.  So with Covid comes masks and …… hand sanitzer!

For the most part, all decor and center pieces were sourced from thrift stores or bought used online.  The bottles for hand sanitizer were purchased from Amazon and were very inexpensive and looked so elegant (glass bottle with plastic pump)

These bottles were placed throughout the venue and needed to be labeled.

How I did it….

Gather:
  • Best Glue Ever
  • No Clog Writing Cap
  • Cardstock scraps
  • Smooth White Cardstock
  • Wired Twine (I used Silver Bow Wire from Bowdabra)
  • Smooth and Scalloped Circle Dies (mine are from Stampin’ Up)
  • Printer
Make It:

Begin with the label itself

  • Using Microsoft Word, choose “Mailings” / “Labels”
  • Then scroll down to label option Avery 22830 Print to the Edge Round Labels 2.5″
  • Choose option “New Document” in dialog box – this will pull up an 8-1/2 x 11 sheet, measured out for your labels
  • Simply type in your personalization and add an image if desired – the 2-1/2 space gives you lots of room to personalize.  There are so many fonts and images that are free and already on your computer!
  • Print your “labels” on smooth white cardstock.  Cut images into strips.
  • Using your die cutting machine and smooth circle die – cut out your design
For the tag border
  • Use cardstock scraps and your Scallop Die Cuts – the next size up from your “sentiment” circle – 2 scalloped circles for each tag
Next:
  • Cut pieces of wired twine (holds shape for label) about 4″ depending on size of bottle
  • Using Best Glue Ever, attach smooth white sentiment circles on top of scalloped circles
  • Spread BGE on one scalloped circle, lay down wired twine, and then sandwich between sentiment circle already attached to scalloped circle

It is so easy to create custom tags for free with what you already have on your computer!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today – and be sure to stop by for my next wedding tag post which will use items from the wedding to create a keepsake tag for the bride!
