The cat is the star of the show so I had a plan in mind to make him stand out. First I fussy cut him out of the photo. I matted him with blue cardstock. I reassembled the photo on grey patterned paper. Finally, I used Best Glue Ever on craft foam to pop up the cat.
Before adhering the striped paper to the layout I inked the edges then laid it on the patterned paper to mark its position. This left me a clear border so I could emboss flourish designs just under the corners.
Best Glue Ever is so versatile I use it in place of foam squares. I add just a few dots of glue to craft foam and stack to my hearts content.
The cluster of shapes and designs layered over the blue, embossed flourishes would be quite difficult without my trusty ScraPerfect supplies.
The hexagon shapes have a cat punched out of the center. To give the hexagons loft and the cat a contrasting yellow I just used more craft foam and a thin rim of Best Glue Ever.
The die-cut grey flourishes are quite thin. Applying glue precisely where I want it is easy with a No-Clog Writing Cap.
Layouts featuring our furry family members are so much fun. I hope the tips outlined above inspire you to try new things. Stop by ScraPerfect online for more inspiring products.
