How to Make Glue Dots Simply & Easily

Hello Ladies,
Karen here to show you how to make your own glue dots simply and easily. We have had a rough and stressful time the past few months and we all need a little “hope” in our lives. Well, let me introduce my niece Audrey Hope to brighten your day. I  created glue dots to attach the mini ribbon bows for the perfect finishing touch to my baby layout.

ScraPerfect Supplies:   Best Glue Ever         No Clog Writing Caps        Perfect Cleaning Cloth

Directions:

1.  First, use a pencil to outline the frame and carefully cut out the backing matte. Apply a thin bead of Best Glue Ever to the edge of the chipboard frame and attach it to the piece of pattern paper.

2. Adhere the chipboard frame centered onto a 12×12″ sheet of paper.

3. Matte two photos with white card stock. Then select another coordinating color card stock and matte again. Adhere the photos to the layout slightly overlapping at the corner.

4. Carefully, cut a selection of small hexagons from the left over paper that matches the inside of the frame. Adhere clusters of hexagons along the outer edge to create the appearance of a patchwork blanket.

5.  Next, easily create your own glue dots by applying Best Glue Ever to a sheet of release paper. (aka the waxy paper that stickers/labels come attached to.)  Set aside to dry for 5 minutes.  Tie 4 small bows with 1/8″ ribbon and trim the ends neatly.  When the dots turn from white to clear, they are dry and ready to use.  Add a ribbon bow to each glue dot.

6.   Add a title to the lower left corner slightly overlapping the frame.  Next, assemble a string of bunting flags onto baker’s twine and embellish the layout. Add small alphabet stickers to the flags to personalize.  Adhere ribbon bows at each end.

TIP:

Use the Perfect Cleaning Cloth to wipe the photos before you place your finished layout in the album.  The Perfect Cleaning Cloth picks up any dust particles or stray glitter that may have unintentionally invaded your layout.
