How to Make a Simple Shamrock Card

Hello Friends,
It’s Karen here to share how I made a simple shamrock card using transfer foil.  I applied metallic green foil to three chipboard hearts to make a quick faux shamrock. Take inexpensive embellishments and jazz them up by adding your own foil accents. Transform plain embellishments with ScraPerfect Transfer Foils.

Directions:
1.  Apply a small amount of Best Glue Ever to a chipboard heart and spread it thinly with your finger.  The glue dries clear yet tacky in 2-3 minutes.  Next, place the heart onto the dull grey side of the foil and rub firmly using the ball of the finger.

TIP: When applying foil, the adhesive should always be touching the dull grey side of the foil.  Turn the foil so that the green colored side is on the table top and the dull grey side is facing up.  Carefully place the heart on the foil close to the edge to make good use of the foil.  Rub along the whole surface of the heart then flip over.  Apply medium pressure using the ball of your finger and continue rubbing the green side.  Next, peel the foil off the heart.

2.  Assemble 3 foiled hearts touching points to form a shamrock on a 3″ white scallop circle.  Place a single heart right side up and 1 heart rotated 90 degrees on each side.  Form the stem for folding a 3″ piece of green ribbon (1/4″) to form a loop and adhere the ribbon stem to the bottom of the shamrock.

3.  Attach a piece of green glitter card stock to a green card base leaving a narrow border.  Apply small dots of BGE sparingly (because a little goes a long way) and glue the foiled shamrock embellishment to the upper portion of the card base.  Finally, add a gem to the center of the shamrock.

4. If any area of the shamrock remains tacky, simple tap the Perfect Crafting Pouch over the surface.  Doing this will release a fine powder that will deactivate any accidental adhesive residues. Then use the Perfect Cleaning Cloth to remove any dusty particles from the green foil shamrock.
