My beautiful niece recently got married and I have been scrapbooking pages for her through every step and event! Today I am sharing a layout I created to preserve her lovely bridal shower invitation.
Gather your supplies:
- Best Glue Ever
- No Clog Writing Cap
- Embellie Gellie
- PhotoPlay “Vintage Girl” Paper Collection with Cardstock Stickers
- Black Cardstock (for matting invite and stickers)
- Sequins
- Foam Dots or Dimensional Tape
- Fabric Netting or Tulle for large mat
Make it:
This layout is really very simple. But it has lots of POP from busy background and use of foam dimensional tape to create all kinds of dimension.
- Begin by adhering a piece of lace, open weave fabric or tulle across your patterned background paper using Best Glue Ever with the No Clog Writing Cap. BGE dries clear and can be used with sheer and lacy fabrics. The No Clog Writing Cap allows you to apply glue with absolute precision to tiny, delicate items.
- My lacy background is actually upcycled packing material from a boutique I bought a dress from – – inspiration is everywhere!
- My invitation was printed on a beautiful sheer vellum, so I opted to mat it on black cardstock. I mounted my matted invitation to my background using foam dimensional tape – – but not before using BGE on the tape – why take chances of your elements falling off your page in the future? Secure EVERYTHING with BGE!
- Next, I fussy cut a group of flowers and and chose cardstock stickers – adhering all with dimensional tape, reinforced with Best Glue Ever.
- As the finishing touch, using Embellie Gellie – I added sequins for some SPARKLE!
