Hello and welcome to the blog – it’s May and #ScraPerfectisblooming! Today I am sharing a layout about a tree I love and the possibility of fairies!
Supply List:
- Best Glue Ever
- No Clog-Writing Cap
- Embellie Gellie
- White Bazzill Cardstock (12×12) Base
- PhotoPlay Patterned Paper “Summer Daydreams” (sun print cut 6×12, stripe print cut to match journing)
- Stampin Up Patterned Paper “Snail Mail” (Fussy cut toadstools)
- Dew Drops (Original and Mini) from The Robins Nest
- Title – Stampin Up Alpha Stamp with Black Ink, The Paper Studio foam Alphabet Stickers
Make it:
- Glue down 6×12 patterned paper on base. Create a border with fussy cut toadstools. Remember, use Best Glue Ever sparingly! A little is all you need for good adhesion! Some toadstools are “popped up” with foam dimensional tape.
- Add your photos – press down and smooth with The Perfect Cleaning Cloth – this insures smoothness and removes any smudges on your photos
- Add journaling – I printed my journaling on smooth white cardstock – the smooth against the pattern gives a subtle texture contrast
- Get creative with your journaling – tell a story! My journaling reads:
We have a Mulberry tree in our front yard, planted by my grandparents when they bought this house some 60 years ago.
It has beautiful gnarled roots exploding up through the ground and hearty branches that shade the front of the house with their foliage all summer long
And in the winter, after heavy rains, clusters of toadstools appear overnight, snuggling into the roots.
The tree is alive with wildlife, enticed by the feeders I provide
This tree has a lot of stories, and these beautiful toadstools make me think there might be fairies living here….
