How To Turn Product Packaging Into Beautiful Art With The Best Glue Ever

Hello everyone, Michelle here with you today to share my latest DT project using the amazing crafting products of ScraPerfectA beautiful piece art inspired by summer memories, that can be framed or added to an art journal.

Now this isn’t just any project, as the actual base, and an element or two, is actually something that I am sure we all have, lots of leftover scraps, and craft project packaging. You know, the “card” piece that holds our favorite crafting treasures, like flowers, stamps & such.

I decide to put some of these to good use. And it all came together with The Best Glue Ever, the Perfect Crafting Pouch, Foil Transfer & Embellie Gellie.

The base I chose, is larger a heavy duty brown packaging card, that already had a moth in the corner, in which I decided to leave it exposed as I added paper scraps, gesso, and texture sand using a diamond shape stencil piece.

I also added some Best Glue Ever in diamond shapes, to later add the star patterned Transfer Foil, after the glue had dried to a tacky state. I also used an adorable bunting flag/mason jar chipboard piece, that I had gessoed, painted, and applied The Best Glue Ever to the jars, to add the star Transfer Foil also.

After the gesso.texture sand and Best Glue Ever diamonds had dried, I used bright water color paints, to add a summer like color splash to the design, letting it drip and run as it dried. I also dabbed the watercolor, on the dried textured diamonds & chipboard flags.

I chose a packaging card, that had a fabulous brick pattern, as the background for my chosen summery elements, the”photos”, the flowers & and the mason jar chipboard piece.

*Before completely putting it all together, I used the Perfect Crafting Pouch, to “de-tack” any tackiness from possible extra Best Glue Ever that might have been left around any of the added the embellishments. My added embellishments were Dew Drops & Glittered Flourish Shape from The Robin’s Nest.

To give dimension throughout the design, I used double adhesive squares, secured with The Best Glue Ever of course.

I absolutely love this piece. Now I am in a quandary, on whether to add it to an art journal, or to use an open frame and hang it on my craft space wall.

I hope you enjoy this project, and just maybe have you inspired to use some of your scrappy items to.
