Journal Embellishment

Hi there, Kim L. here to day to share a journal embellishment that I made in a snap with the help of the products from ScraPerfect.  I got a time card in a ephemera pack at an auction and decided to alter it for a journal I am working on.  Here is the finished project, hope you like it!

To start, I grabbed a piece of vintage book paper, tore a piece, distressed it with the Tattered Rose Distress Oxide and then attached it to my time card with the Best Glue Ever.  I applied a piece to the back of my time card too.
I decided to sew a piece of fabric on the side of my time card, so that was my next step.  Next, I used the Best Glue Ever to secure a Tim Holz image that I fussy cut.  When using the Best Glue Ever, I always have the large No Clog Writing Cap on the top of my bottle to ensure precision and to make it last longer since a little goes a long way.  I attached a pink yo yo next and added a button on top of it with the Best Glue Ever.
I added a small piece of pink ric rac under my book paper and some small lace flower appliques, all using small dots of the Best Glue Ever.  Some floral ephemera was cut apart and added to opposite corners of my time card using the Best Glue Ever.    I added some dusty rose seam binding  that I sprayed with water and crinkled right under the ephemera with a medium sized glue dot of
Best Glue Ever.  I added another large glue dot and then placed a pink button on top of it.
In the center of the button, another medium sized glue dot made from the Best Glue Ever was put down and a pearl was placed on top of it.  I repeated this process and added another pearl in the center of one of the floral appliques as well.
I decided to add some clear stickles to the girls belt and  the floral ephemera next.  I wanted to give the girl some bling, so I put a tiny dot of the Best Glue Ever and used my Embellie Gellie to perfectly place a tiny pink rhinestone. I also punched a hole in the top of my time card, turning it into a tag, and put some pretty white ribbon through the hole.  I also to place a thin line of the
Best Glue Ever on the back on the bottom of the time card, and then I attached a piece of vintage white trim to it.
I like the way it turned out and think it will make a great embellishment for my journal.  I hope you will get your products from ScraPerfect and try some journal embellishments yourself!  While you are there, please be sure to follow ScraPerfect on social media.  To see more of my work, please subscribe to my blog, Vintage Rose Creations By Kim.
