Mixed Media Layout

For this layout, the embellishments include a punched tag (aged), a punched border (aged) and a piece of punchinella. The colors and textures I chose primarily from my daughter’s dress, but
also Madeline’s big black buttons and blue coat.

While I used The Best Glue Ever all over my layout, from the paper to embellishments, it was especially useful for the yarn and the button and gemstone embellishments. It even worked wonderfully gluing down the punchinella!

Using the Best Glue Ever you don’t have to worry about holding down your yarn until it dries, like with other liquid glues. You simply make a line with the Best Glue Ever where you want the yarn to go, wait a few minutes until it’s tacky, and then press it into the glue – no mess!

I also used the Perfect Crafting Pouch to prep my journal tag for stamping and to dry the stamps
quickly. The nice little stick from the Embellie Gellie came in handy to curl my flower petals.

I also used Embellie Gellie two ways – to place the buttons and gemstones onto glue, as is the “typical” use, but also to hold my small punched letters and cut flowers while I altered them with aquarelle water color crayons and a wet paint brush.
