Have you ever had a “decoupage” project come to mind, and you realize you are out of your favorite decoupage medium?
If you have ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever on hand it is not a problem.
I have recently been on a mission, to craft my scraps stash. and I decided I wanted to make min pockets to add to a junk journal.
Using scrap cardstock, along with some scraps of printed tissue paper, a couple of punches, and some embellishments, the idea came together.
After establishing the style of pocket and size, I created a fold 3/4 of the way down on my 3×6 strip of cardstock using my score blade on my paper trimmer.
I then added a 2 to 1 ratio (2pts water to 1 part Best Glue Ever) to pallet wells, and slowly incorporated the water to the glue until it became just shy of a milk consistency.
I applied the mixture with a brush, to the top (inside) of the folded cardstock. and began layering tissue scraps.
Once that had set, I applied the same mixture to the back and front of the fold to each piece of cardstock.
Before adhering the “pocket” to the base, I used a punch to add decorative elements.
Then I used Best Glue Ever with a No-Clog Writing Cap to create the pocket.
To finish, I used Best Glue Ever, again with the No-Clog Writing Cap, to add just the right amount of glue to add a few embellishments, like flowers, wording, ephemera to the inside of the pockets, the results was exactly what I was hoping for.
These are perfect little pouches to hold ephemera, notes or even small photos, for my next junk journaling project.
**A bonus tips:
IF you should find any tackiness whatsoever
after everything has set & dried, use the Perfect Crafting Pouch,
lightly tapping areas of tackiness, and you will find that there is no sticky.
For clean up, reach for Best Cleaner Ever to pretreat your brushes and pallet before washing with soap and warm water.
Clean up is that EASY!
