Hello Crafty Friends!
Welcome to the ScraPerfect blog.
Michelle here today to share with you, how easy it is to make paper flowers, in a variety of shapes, styles & sizes, using Best Glue Ever from ScraPerfect.
For paper flowers you will need:
Pre-Cut Cardstock or Printed Paper Flowers
(I used my Cricut to cut my flowers)
You will also need from ScraPerfect:
Best Glue Ever
No-Clog Writing Cap
Best Cleaner Ever
(to remove any “sticky” from your hands, rolling flowers, an be a bit messy. lol)
I decided decide to use two sizes, to better demonstrate both the Best Glue Ever & the precision of the No-Clog Writing Cap.
My first flowers, are miniature Aster Flowers. When rolled and formed, they measure just below a 1/4 inch. So they are tiny!
To begin rolling my flowers, I used a small paint brush handle, and once I had formed half a circle, I used a small, very small amount of Best Glue Ever, to adhere it to the next “loop”, and held it only a couple of seconds, and it was secure!
I then proceeded to roll the flower, until I reached the end, and once again used Best Glue Ever & No-Clog Writing Cap to secure in place. I also left a “hole” in the center of each Aster Flower, big enough to add the yellow centers, in which I rolled and glued the same as the flower, and secured in the center of each flower as well as adding a small circle for the base of each flower.
Once I had finished a batch of the Asters, I secured them to a leaf base, for mounting the cluster to a canvas board.
For the second flower, I decided to use a much larger, layered rose, measuring 6-1/2 by 6-1/2 inches when finished.
Using the Best Glue Ever & No- Clog Writing Cap once again, I first shaped each layer, then glued each layer into place. If a layer looked a little “wonky”, it was no problem, the Best Glue Ever actually is very forgiving, and allowed me to work each layer into perfect place, WITHOUT adding additional glue.
Once all layers were in place, I let it cure for about a half an hour, then glued the rose to so rose leaves, added a circle base, then allowed to sit overnight, to be mounted on a canvas board the next morning.
I wanted simple backgrounds for these beauties, so I chose a distressed wood looking paper, and applied Best Glue Ever to the canvas, to secure the paper in place.
Last bust not least, I mounted the flowers to their canvas boards, again using Best Glue Ever.
Now they are ready to display!
As you see, Best Glue Ever is the perfect glue to use from start to finish of ANY project you set out to do.
This glue, definitely lives of to it’s name!
