Vellum is getting popular again. I’ve been seeing it pop up on all kinds of projects. Write, Click Scrapbook even had a vellum-themed week recently.
Vellum can be a great accent for your scrapbooking and card-making, however, it can be a bit troublesome — unless you have ScraPerfect’s products.
To easily print on vellum, first treat your paper with the Perfect Crafting Pouch. Lightly rub the pouch over the paper. The powder not only gives you a crisper image but prevents the ink from smearing.
Tip: if your printer won’t accept the vellum from your paper tray, tape it to a regular sheet of printer paper. I use Scotch’s matte removable tape and tape the edge about a quarter of an inch below the top of the paper.
To attach your vellum to your layout, use the Best Glue Ever. I make several thin lines all over the back of the vellum then use my finger to brush the glue and coat the back. It dries within seconds and is invisible on your project.
And for adding embellishments, nothing beats the Best Glue Ever. It’s so strong you only need a tiny amount. You can see below how little I used for this wooden accent.
And the finished layout…
