Are you looking to add a bit more holiday decor but short on time? This tree is a cinch to make! Here’s what you need: styrofoam tree form, yarn, the Best Glue Ever, disposable foam brush, and an assortment of mini picks, bells, ribbons, flowers or stick pins. If you want your tree to be raised with a trunk, pick up a birch piece as well and grab a stick from your yard. For more texture, use a thicker or coarser yarn.
To begin, coat your styrofoam form with the Best Glue Ever using a disposable brush. I like these cheap foam ones — it really saves on clean up! I opened the top of my Best Glue Ever and squeezed a large amount of glue onto a scrap piece of packaging — roughly about a tablespoon.

To make the tree, start at the top of the form and begin winding the yarn around the tree. You want to make sure you get the tip of the yarn covered the first time around.
I found that I could gently rotate the tree with one hand while guiding
the yarn with the other, which made this project super quick.
When you get to the bottom, add another line of glue to the edge to firmly secure the end of the yarn. You want to make sure all the styrofoam is covered. Trim your yarn and pull out your embellishments!
For this project, I had grabbed some items from the Christmas miniatures aisle. The pinecones were wrapped four to a group with wire. Since they were wired, I simply trimmed the wire to a shorter length and inserted them right into the styrofoam.
But I didn’t stop there… I wanted a bit more color so on went red and white bells. I chose to use small pins to hold these to the form so that the bells would move and jingle. After the bells came some Maya Road star pins and Tim Holtz white flowers.
