With graduation parties, weddings and birthdays in full force around this time of year, I thought I’d share a quick pocket card for those of us who are always needing one at the last minute.
I used a 12 x 4″ strip of black cardstock (for the picture, white was
used…changed my mind – lol!) scored at 4″ and 8″. The right section
was cut diagonally to create the pocket. Set aside.
After I swiped ScraPerfect’s The Perfect Crafting Pouch on the
cardstock, I inked “A Gift For You” sentiment with VersaMark ink . Then
added white embossing powder and heat embossed. Look how crisp the image
turned out – perfect every time! I cut/embossed over the sentiment with
Spellbinders die template (ribbon tail die). Set aside.
Inside the card, I swiped the Perfect Crafting Pouch on the cardstock and repeated with the watermark ink, embossing powder and heat embossed “a little money for my honey” sentiment on the pocket. Using the Best Glue Ever, I added patterned papers in the back and edge of pocket. Although a liquid adhesive, the Best Glue Ever does not wrinkle my card! The last touch, I wrote a little note on the Eyelet Circle die cut.
For the card front, I cut a piece of 3 7/8 x 3 7/8″ patterned paper and ink misted. Then embellished an Eyelet Circle die cut with black bling using my Embellie Gellie for perfect placement! The Blossom Three flower I misted with the same color ink spray. Added the heat embossed ribbon tail and some money, it’s ready to give!
Next time you’re in need of a card, have ScraPerfect products ready at hand, and give this card one a try!
