Time to get started on the Stamp Heat Embossing made easy with ScraPerfect project. Select paper about 4 x 6 in size for a base. Cut a piece 3.75 x 5.75 from an old book. Address distress ink around the edges.
Adhere the book page to the card base using the No-Clog Writing Cap on the Best Glue Ever. I love how I can get the perfect amount on a project.
Apply the Perfect Crafting Pouch to the surface of the book page. Do this will keep loose powder from sticking where it isn’t wanted.
Using the Versamark Watermark ink pad, ink the rubber stamp. Press the stamp to the paper and remove stamp.
Sprinkle embossing powder over the stamped image. make sure to close the embossing powder container so you don’t have a mess.
Use a heat tool to set the embossing powder. Move the heat tool while watching the powder turn shiny. When all the powder has changed to shiny stop heating so you don’t scorch the paper. The embossed image will be hot after heating. Let cool before handling.
To add color to the image use a blending tool and Vintage Photo Distress Ink. This is a fast way to color an image.
Cut a small piece of fabric that will become a mat to the phrase. Adhere with Best Glue Ever using the No-Clog Writing Cap. Add glue to back of the word phrase.
If you have an oops where glue ends up where it shouldn’t, wipe up the excess glue then use the Perfect Crafting Pouch to remove any sticky residue.
Apply the Best Glue Ever to the pieces of trim. One piece will become a crown for the lion.
Make sure to clean your stamp with the Best Cleaner Ever. Squirt a small amount on the stamp and work with fingers. Use a rag to remove the cleaner form the stamp.
An option when making this journal card is to add stitches around the edge of the card.
