I don’t what I did to suddenly become a gum magnet. Seriously. I went to put these shoes on last week and discovered I’d stepped in a huge wad of chewing gum. Again. Yuck. Just yuck.
Not only that, but it was all dried and hard. Did I mention it was thick? Cleaning fresh gum was easy, you can see the my video with fresh chewing gum here. but could the Best Cleaner Ever work as well on really hard gum?
I grabbed my bottle sprayed it all over the gum and let it sit for about 15 – 20 minutes. Taking a clean paper towel, I rubbed the gum and got a lot of it off with a swipe. With removing gum or adhesvies, I prefer to use a paper towel so I can easily throw it away.
After a few swipes this is where I stood:
So I sprayed it again and left for about 30 minutes, at which point all the gum came off easily, except for some in the grooves of the sole. This photo was taken after giving it one last spray of the Best Cleaner Ever. I twisted the end of a paper towel to get into the grooves and remove the remaining glue.
And tada! All clean! And with the Best Cleaner Ever it took minimal effort on my part, just patience to let the cleaner do it’s work to loosen the gum.
