The Best Glue Ever For Any Material

Hello there crafty friends. Michelle here today, to share with you the multiple materials that the
Best Glue Ever works greatly with. And all in one project. An update on a metal luminary.

One of our neighbors is a “picker”, and anytime he comes across items he thinks I may be able to use in crafting, he picks them up. This time, I have a full tote/bin, full of metal Christmas tree luminaries.
Greatly neglected, with rust on many. So I have decided to “redesign” them a bit.

With the first redesign, as in the first photo above,  I decided to do in victorian colors.

To begin, I used soap & a light weight scrub sponge, I removed as much of the rust I could, gave it one coat of  white gesso, and chose a rose gold paint which had a soft tacky feeling after drying, so I used the Perfect Crafting Pouch very lightly over the dried paint to remove the tackiness.

For the Christmas tree cut outs, I used an embossed designed vellum for the front and back, & plain vellum for the side trees. Once measured and cut, I used the Best Glue Ever around the edges using a No Clog Writing Cap, let set for 5 minutes and it adhered instantly to the inside of the luminary.

I have some beautiful satin & lace edged ruffled ribbon that was a gift, that was absolutely perfect to use around the top of the inside of the luminary, so with a few dots of Best Glue Ever glued it into place.

I wanted a pretty, yet not over the top embellishment for the front, so I chose to cut a lavender poinsettia, stamped with music notes in purple, and brushed lightly with white ink. For the finishing touches on the poinsettia, I used the Best Glue Ever around the edges of each petal, and then sprinkled with “snow” glitter, and also used it to add a tiny rhinestone for the center.

Lastly, I used a small circle of felt as a base, added sheer ribbon in lavender and white, and a couple of glittered stemmed balls, all glued together with the Best Glue Ever. I then glued this embellishment, using the the Best Glue Ever one last time.

For that holiday glow, I placed a flameless flickering tealight in the inside of the luminary.

This project, with the variety of materials, was made so easy to put together, by the innovative ScraPerfect products, Best Glue Ever, No Clog Writing Cap, and the Perfect Crafting Pouch.
