It is easy to scrap the happy memories. The sad moments in life are more difficult, but are just as important. It has been 5 years since my son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and I have struggled with how to handle the challenges of the disease. I was finally inspired by a Becky Fleck PageMap to create this layout, which is just the start of telling this part of my son’s story:
The journaling is actually the most important part of the layout, but I wanted it to be integrated into the background. The easiest way to accomplish this was to print it on vellum, so the background papers could show through. I pulled out the Perfect Crafting Pouch and wiped it across the vellum before I sent it into the printer.
When it came out I didn’t have to wait for the ink to dry. The printing was crisp and clear and ready to use, so I trimmed it to size and attached it to the layout with washi tape.
Have you tried printing your journaling on vellum? I do it on a regular basis because it is so easy to integrate lengthy journaling into the design. The Perfect Crafting Pouch makes it easy!
