If you like beads and lace this post is exactly what you need to know to make an attractive choker.
Charity here from Scrappin’ Chaos and I admit to being an incurable collector of vintage lace scraps.
Putting those scraps to good use is more of a challenge. While I choose the hardier forms of lace,
they still tend to ravel out at the ends. But that was before I met

This piece of lace has a lovely spidery design but is a bit thin on its own for a choker.
I found a bit of daisy chain and a few turquoise beads to spice it up.
I found a bit of daisy chain and a few turquoise beads to spice it up.
Because of its open work pattern I had to place my beads very carefully.
I started at the midpoint and worked toward each end.
For the first stitch I ran the thread on either side of the central medallion and through the daisies.
This positioned the bead between the flowers and on top of the medallion.
The second stitch I ran through the center of the medallion, between the daisies.
I focused on centering the beads between the daisies while tacking
the lace to the back of the daisy chain.

To secure the end of the lace I used a ribbon crimp and a piece of ribbon,
3 times the length of the crimp.
3 times the length of the crimp.
I layered the raw end of the lace on top of the ribbon then added a thin line of the BEST GLUE EVER
(very, very little is necessary). I folded the ribbon ends over the lace decreasing its width in the process.
I left the glue to soak into the fabric for a few minutes before attaching the ribbon crimp.

The lobster clasp and extender chain I added to the ribbon crimps after the glue had dried.
