Hello and welcome to the blog today! Shelly here, sharing a mixed media canvas using only ONE adhesive for every medium – BEST GLUE EVER – it’s all you need for any project!
I began this project by brushing paint all over my canvas and then spritzing with a mist just a few shades darker than my paint.
I then squeezed a little Best Glue Ever in a glass dish and thinned with a little water — this makes a PERFECT decoupage medium. Using this medium, I added strips of torn book pages to my canvas and then added some streaks of paint over the top with my fingers.
I then added added some interest with a textured paint and stencil. My background was completed by dipping the rim of a shot glass in paint and adding a circle detail.
Once the background was dry, I again used my Best Glue Ever / water mix to add a vintage photo to the canvas – – use a paint brush on canvas first, then over the top of your image.
Best Glue Ever dries completely clear so you can really use it on anything in crafting – the following embellishments on my canvas were added using Best Glue Ever:
- Die Cut Cardstock Alphas
- Metal stars (charm, brads with prongs cut off)
- Acrylic Dew Drops from the Robin’s Nest
- Lasso detail made from twine
Best Glue Ever is your best mixed media friend — it can be used on any surface and with all types of textures
I hope this post gets you thinking about different ways to use Best Glue Ever – – it is incredibly versatile and should be your GO-TO adhesive!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today – – have a creative week!
