Hello Crafty Friends,
It’s Karen…and today I’d like to show you how easy it can be to adhere intricate die cuts. ScraPerfect has the best tools to make what is usually a fiddly job, become “Easy Peezy.” The fine tip applicator (aka No Clog Writing Cap) dispenses the perfect tiny line of glue that was needed for my very detailed vine frame. Follow me!
Directions:
1. Die cut a floral heart frame from white pearl card stock. Apply Best Glue Ever sparingly to the back side of this fragile die cut. I recommend using the No Clog Tip because it gives a very fine line to precisely apply BGE to intricate die cuts.
2. Wait 2-3 mins for the glue to dry, turn transparent, and become tacky. Gently position the die cut centered to the upper half of the card base. When you are satisfied with the placement, apply gentle pressure to secure all the edges. Because the glue dried before you attached the shape to the card base, you have an easier time getting the perfect placement and you don’t have to worry about excess liquid glue squishing out the edges.
3. Use BGE to create a row of glue dots on release paper. When the glue has dried, place a gem on each glue dot. Use the Embellie Gellie tool to quickly and efficiently move the gems to the glue dots. It turns a normally fiddly job into a breeze.
4. Fill in the heart shape by transferring the gems from the release paper to the card using the Embellie Gellie. I love this tool because it makes labor intensive jobs easy and prevents me from enduring undue frustration while crafting.
5. Next, use a craft knife to slice a 1/2″ slit in the fold of the card base. Thread a piece of ribbon through the slot and tie a faux bow. Trim the ends of the ribbon. Lastly, add a sentiment along the lower edge.
Other Supplies: card base (5×7″), white pearl card stock, heart frame die, organza ribbon, sentiment, craft knife
