Wooden Tag Ornaments

I’m in the process of creating my holiday cards for this year. They are going to include pockets with a detachable ornament tag that people can hang on their tree, or use on their own gifts. I’ll post the cards soon, but here are the first batch of ornament tags using wood tags.

I used Best Glue Ever to glitter the edges of my little cut out motifs, and to attach plastic Dew Drops (Robin’s Nest) – working with the Embellie Gellie to place them. I used the Perfect Cleaning Cloth a lot to clean up the residue from sanding the edges of the wood tags. And I used the Perfect Crafting Pouch on my paper work surface to catch glitter without static cling. I raised the tags slightly using my favorite soft crafting foam, again adhered with Best Glue Ever.

The wood tags look good painted with gold metallic glaze from Martha Stewart, and then inked over with colors (Color Box inks) and brown for aging. Most of the images on the fronts are cut out from Recollections “The Twelve Days” stack.

The backs include stamped and embossed sentiments, image transfers using Mod Podge, or more paper from the stack.

Completed cards soon, using gorgeous double sided cardstocks from Robin’s Nest.
